From short to long hair whenever you want!
Did you just ordered a super nice set of clip-in hair extensions or do you already have them at home and can’t wait to use them? In this blog with video we will show you step by step how to get full and long hair easily in a few minutes. Especially if you are going to use your clip-ins for the first time, this will help you a lot! With clip-in hair extensions you don’t have to choose between short or long hair. You clip your long hair in and out easily. How ideal is that?
What is also great about the Zascha extensions is that the clips are super strong and stable. They have a silicone strip so that you can use the track well and they do not fall out. All you have to do is open and close the clip-ins.
“They have a silicone grip so you can use the track well and they don’t fall out.”
Okay, almost. But hey, clippin your hair in is really easy! You just need to know how. So without further ado, let’s get strated! What You Need: Your full set of clip-in extensions and a mirror. The following items are also very useful!
1. Brush and part your own hair.
Start by brushing your own hair well with a soft brush. Preferably use a TangleTeezer®, this brush used by professionals can be used with dry and wet hair and prevents breaking of your hair. Then make a straight horizontal part at the bottom of your neck and secure the rest of your hair with a hair clip.
“For extra hold you can backcomb the hair at the roots …”
For extra hold you can backcomb the hair at the roots and spray some hairspray on top. This is not always necessary, but can give just a little more grip for smoother / finer hair. Use a backcombing brush for backcombing.
2. Start with the 3 clips.
Now take the weft with 3 clips. Brush it well before putting it in your hair. Start carefully at the ends of the hair and work your way up carefully. You can gently pull apart any tangles with your fingers. Then find the center of your hair and clip the middle clip into the roots of your hair.
“Make sure you clip as close to the roots as possible so that it is secure.”
Make sure to clip as close to the roots as possible so that it is secure. Then clip the left and right sides firmly. You do the other wefts in exactly the same way. Just above the first clipped path, make a new horizontal division and clip in the second 3 clips weft.
3. Use the wider weft.
Part ear to ear right above your second clipped weft and secure the rest of your hair with a hair clip. The set contains one 4 clips track of 20 cm wide. You place this again at the beginning of your part. Do you have a set for thick hair? Then you have an extra weft of 25cm!
“Place the wider weft well below your crown/ roots”
In that case, make a horizontal part about 5cm below the crown of your head and reattach the rest of your hair. Take the 5 clips weft of 25cm and clip in the track as you used the previous tracks. Now all the large strips on the back of your head have been clipped in and only the narrow ones are left.
Insert the narrow 2 and 1 clips.
The set includes two 2-clip wefts and two 1-clip wefts. These narrow strips add volume to the sides and ensure that everything flows together nicely. Part the side of your head about 2cm above your ear horizontally and clip the rest of your hair in place with a hair clip. Take the 2 clips weft and clip it.
“These narrow strips add volume to the sides and ensure that everything flows together nicely.”
Then you part a part of your hair above the 2 clips weft and put your own hair back in place. Brush the 1 clip track and fix it as close to the roots as possible above the two clips weft. Repeat this on the other side of your head as well. Brush your hair and check in the mirror to make sure that all wefts are invisible, especially at the back.
And you’re ready!
Keep in mind that the first few times (like everything else) it is practice to use your clip-ins quickly. If you have time to spare, sit in front of the mirror and familiarize yourself with the process. Once you have mastered it, you will be done in a few minutes! The Zascha team wishes you a lot of fun with your full, long locks!
